This week was mostly spent at space camp (the best!). Then we arrived home in time to have a fun weekend full of fall festivals, old movies and family time.

Here are ten things I’m enjoying this week:

1. Pink Castle

Did you know there’s a real pink castle in Poland.

2. Can’t wait:

I’ve always been a Nathan Fielder fan but after season two of The Rehearsal (!!!!) I am a cult-status fan. I cannot wait to watch his new documentary You Can See Everything. I’m so, so, so curious!

3. Are dinner parties a lost art?

I think this article is one part upsetting and one part inspiring. We must save dinner parties!!!!

4. Halloween Costumes

If you haven’t sorted your Halloween costume yet may I suggest The American Girls. I loved being Molly last year.

This year I’m doing a couples costume with my 8 year old daughter. It’s still has literary origins but it’s quite a bit more unhinged. Can’t wait to show you!

5. eBay finds

I’ve been on a vintage painting fixation and I’ve found several special pieces this month. I’m having fun browsing them and picking favorites. Here are a couple special finds: hand painted wooden key, mid-century floral painting and abstract impressionist oil painting.

A couple of my eBay tips are to always save pieces you like before buying (often the seller will send you and “offer” after you save and sometimes it’s a large discount), try a variety of search terms and also check out eBay lives (there are so many cool ones like rare books, gems or halloween) and my last tip is to always make offers.

6. Cutest baseball hat
7. Breakfast At Tiffany’s

I watched this iconic movie last night and loved it. I saw it once when I was younger but I appreciated it more this time. It’s lovely. And also if you need a fun rabbit hole I enjoyed reading the history of the song Moon River (if you need me, you can find me on Wikipedia).

8. Etsy Finds

If you want to plan ahead on custom Etsy gifts I love my personalized name rings, an ex libris stamp or these great custom mugs.

Also, on the vintage florals front I found some special one of a kind pieces for you: Love this one, this one, this one and this one.

9. Fall Weather

We started having our first cool days and I’m so excited to wear my new jacket and dress. Also I had an apple cider slushie at the pumpkin patch yesterday and we watched a (horrible) horror movie this weekend… so life is good!

10. Fave books of 2026 (so far!)

Every December I make a roundup of my favorite books of the year and October is about the time when I go into CRAM mode. I just want a couple more bangers. So please hear my faves and tell me what you think I should read next!

I want to cry. I want more romance (weird or genre blend). Even though I’m behind on my reading goal and need to choose more short books I want more BIG stories too. What else should I prioritize? Please send me your most passionate recommendations. I love to be surprised!
