Happy Sunday. This week my sister and I visited Elise in Sacramento. It was our first time in the area and the antique shops blew our minds. (If you’re local, we especially loved Antique Trove and Under the Arbor. We also enjoyed the Crockett Art Museum and Elliot Fouts Gallery where I found a vintage painting.
A fun fact about Elise is that a year ago we were in Italy together where she was convincing me to create this newsletter. It was something I wouldn’t have considered before seeing her beautiful newsletter which changed my entire opinion about what it could be. I’m so grateful!
Here are 10 things that are on my mind this week.
1. The Practical Magic House
I’m saving this AD Tour of the Practical Magic house for a when I need it most. So special. I’m looking forward to the movie too (Lee Pace!!!!).
2. Currently Reading
This week I’m reading Under Story by Chloe Benjamin. I’m almost to the end and I’m dwelling on it in the back of my mind 24 hours a day. It’s a treat to read. I don’t want it to end.
3. Pottery
Being in Elise’s art house and making pottery had me evaluating my life choices. Namely, why have I had my pottery kiln stored and unusable for three years?? I started to list off my excuses but they talked me out of them and I promised my sister I’d start a play to get it up and running for the Spring. Exciting!
4. Fall Finds
I added this dress to my collection (love!). Just ordered the Brynn dress in red. And I’m thinking about the Dawn Dress in green. I’m about halfway through a big closet clean out (the clean out part is complete, but now I need to organize it and make it pretty). I can’t wait for actual fall weather so I can wear tights, boots and sweaters every day.
5. Etsy Finds
I found this Missing Laura Palmer tee on Etsy. It’s perfect for spooky season (or David Lynch fans year round). If you like quirky, vintage Halloween check out this shop.

6. This Oak House
Annie Myers-Shyer (Nancy Meyer’s daughter) has an interiors book coming out this week. I can’t wait to read it.
7. Kids Outwear
If you’re in the market for kids outerwear I love this jacket and this one too. Also SWANS.
8. Fragrance
I recently showed my perfume shelf on IG and many people asked for a perfume tour. The truth is that, even though I have a collection I mainly wear three scents.
11 11 Vanilla This is the scent I reach for most. I let my kids wear it and I layer it with my masculine scents. I don’t like sweet scents (at all) so this is the closet thing that works for me. It’s cozy. I’m on my second bottle.
Ithaque by Memo Paris My all time fave. It smells so good and my sister has complimented it at least 7 or 8 different times (it’s becoming a joke).
The Poet by Kismet Olfactive Another musky favorite. I often mix it with Ithaque. Oh and the first time I ever wore it my husband said, “It smells like the 90s”. LOVE.
9. Hunter Boots
I really want a red pair of hunter boots. They’ll always be nostalgic to me.
10. Cozy House Era
Visiting Elise’s home filled me with inspiration to do tiny tweaks in my rooms to make them more cozy. I’m obsessed with how rooms feel in person and what influences that. Last night I started a small journal for Q4 goals and a whole page is filled with ideas for increasing the coziness of our home.
You don’t have to wait for January to make goals. Something about September feels like a perfect blank page to me.
PS. Don’t forget, we have new podcast episodes going up every Monday.

I hope you have a wonderful week. XX
