With just one week left until August I’m feeling the need to stuff the rest of summer with as many family memories as possible. You’ll find me with an ice cream cone in hand or a book by the pool for the foreseeable future.

1. Frozen Lemon and Lime Slices

I froze a bunch of lemon and lime slices for drinks and it makes even a glass of water extra special. Try it!

2. Summer Pasta

If you want a perfect summer recipe to try I recommend Ina Garten’s Summer Garden Pasta with homemade strawberry lemonade.

3. Crafts

We’re having so much fun playing with fabric markers this week. I’ve been inviting the girls to make crafts with me every day (some days they do, some days they skip it) and it’s been fun to explore a bunch of random mediums with them. This week I’m focusing on doing a makeover for their treehouse, so I hope they get interested in helping.

4. Navigating Grief

It’s been a tricky summer navigating some family grief. I loved The Year of Magical Thinking. What has helped you in seasons of loss and change?

5. House of the Dragon

We’ve been rewatching House of the Dragon and unfortunately I do have to recommend a rewatch if you’ve been watching it in real time because there were SO many easter eggs (dragon eggs?) that I missed.

And if you haven’t seen it at all, it’s a solid binge. Get in there.

6. Stationery
7. SSS

The next design book I’ll be adding to my cart.

8. Pre-Fall

I love the simple dawn dress and I’m thinking about this gingham dress and a cute airpods max cover. I’m very slowly looking for fall things, but the truth is my closet is mostly fall already. I’m thinking about some classic Dr. Martens boots.

9. Sticker Maker

I got this sticker machine and it works SO well. Let me know if you want to see all the stickers I’ve been making. It’s so much fun!

10. Books that made me cry

If you like books that might make you cry my stack is above. Also the comments on this Instagram post are a treasure trove of recommendations.
