Hello. We’re spending the long nostalgia-packed weekend with family. It feels good after the end of school rush. This week we’ll be diving into pool days and Summer reading goals.

Here are ten things I loved, learned or discovered recently.

1. Summer Journaling Prompts

What is the number one thing you want to accomplish this summer?
Make a list of small comforts and joys that would make your days better.
What is one space in your life (physical or digital) you want to declutter?

Still obsessed with our delft tile.

2. 7 Year Anniversary Show

This week my gallery is celebrating their 7th anniversary with a show that features one piece from each artist. Can you spot mine in the photo above? Mine is already heading to a new home, but you can see my available works here.

I love the group shows because it’s so fun to see the variety of art all in one place.

3. Etsy Finds

I got this woven bag from Etsy this week and I love it. I also got a rare book (Shirley Jackson) from this shop and I think I’m going to collect my favorites super slowly.

4. Ina Garten’s Brownie Pudding

I really want to try this strange sounding recipe. 🙂

My flea market finds from yesterday.

5. Summer Thrift Challenge

I decided to do a summer thrift/flea challenge. The challenge is simple to drop into a store (or 3) every week and document what I find throughout the summer. I have a couple favorite shops where I almost never visit and the ones I do frequent are less than once a month… I’m excited to see if more consistency will pay off.

6. Rewatching TV Shows

Do you rewatch your favorite shows? I definitely find comfort in rewatching. My all-time favorite shows are Mad Men, Succession, West World (mainly season one) and Twin Peaks. What are your comfort shows?

Making my own gouache palette in Summer tones.

7. Homemade Travel Paint Palette

I made my first mini paint palette with gouache paint. I used this small palette (it’s the size of an Altoid tin) and this liquid paint. In the photo above it’s fully wet, but a day later it was dry on the outer layer and later this week I’m going to take it for spin. My eight year old immediately begged me to order her a palette of her own to fill. It’s a fun activity and so easy. I’ll be sure to share the final results when it’s dry and we use it to paint.

8. Summer Faves

I can’t believe Summer break has officially started. I’m hoping to make this a summer full of reading, arts and crafts for my kids. Here’s my list of summer faves: best swimsuit ever, best sunscreen, my pool bag (in red), my summer romance (you must read a romance novel by the pool to kick of summer, I don’t make the rules) and my favorite pool towels.

9. Ceramic Wall Art

I’ve been admiring these ceramic art installations by Sam Mayell Ceramics. They’re so unique and eye catching.

Our Maileg collection (ever growing).

10. Memorial Weekend Sales

Here are a few of the best weekend sales I’ve found:
