This week I’m sharing a my super simple everyday makeup routine. It takes less than 10 minutes and makes me feel good. I’ve always loved to try new products, but the past few years I’ve been wanting to develop a more minimal routine to save money, time and reduce clutter.

In the past few months I’ve been using this lineup of products that can all fit into even the tiniest makeup bag. Here’s my quick routine:

Step 1: Sunscreen & Primer

I always begin with sunscreen on my face and neck. Recently I’ve been using my old favorite from @iliabeauty, Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint. It has SPF 40 and functions as a primer, sunscreen and base. It’s super moisturizing. I also use the complexion brush.

I’m using the color Formosa ST4 (For reference, my skin is pale with warm/yellow undertones and my color season is Deep Autumn)

Step 2: Powder Foundation

Ok wow… I discovered this product in the k-beauty section of my local mall and I think it’s the best foundation I’ve ever used. I lean toward medium coverage products and I love how this product evens out my skin without being too heavy. It doesn’t crease.

I’m using the color 23N Sand.

Step 3: Undereye color correction

My biggest insecurity has always been my dark under eye circles, which I’ve been trying to cover up since high school. When I look back at early blog photos it’s so embarrassing how much photoshop I thought I could get away with. Anyway, this product is the best undereye color corrector I’ve ever tried. I use such a small amount and it does the job.

I’m using the color Light-Medium Peach. I also love their concealer brush for blending.

Step 4: Brow Pencil

In the olden days (10ish years ago) I got microblading done on my brows. Since then, it’s faded a lot and I am back to using a brow pencil. I’ve realized there is no benefit to using an expensive product in this category so I use the NYX brow pencil in the shade chocolate.

Step 5: Blush

I definitely have a bit of “blush blindness” and I love to wear too much. I’ve narrowed it down to only two shades that I use on repeat (and often layer both). For a deeper shade I love the Clinique blush in the shade Black Honey Pop and for a lighter, glowy shade I love Ilia’s Soft Focus Blurring Blush in the shade Glimpse.

Step 6: Lipstick

Maturing is realizing you only need one lipstick. For me it’s Clinique Black Honey. It’s the perfect shade for my coloring and it’s not too pigmented (I’ve never felt good in bright, dark or full coverage lipstick). I keep one in my makeup kit and another in my purse. It adds just the right amount of color to my lips.

When I’m in the mood for glossy lips, I layer on Rhode Lip Tint in the shade PB&J or Espresso.

Here’s the finished look!

I hope this was enjoyable and/or helpful. As we enter a new season I’m planning to share more small projects from my home, a fall closet cleanout and little ways to get more joy out of the season. If you have a request, you can reply to this directly. Thank you for reading!
